There’s a new committee in town! With a resounding coo-ee and yee-haw to our exiting committee members, in particular, Carly Francis and Tanya Davies. On behalf of Babinda and the festival committee, thank you for your many years of dedicated hard work. We aim to do you proud. With ‘mighty big, well worn blunnies to fill, please meet your new committee!

  • President: Tricia Wiles
  • Vice President: Jenna Alley
  • Vice President: Peter Carnsew
  • Secretary: Chevelle Kingwill
  • Secretary: Tahlia West
  • Treasurer: Antoinette Russell

It’s time for Babinda community to put on their ten-gallon hats and start rounding up ideas for all the Harvest Festival’s treasured events for another year of Celebrating our town! This year’s theme is all things ‘Going Country’ and we dang can’t wait to see Babinda’s clever, creative humour and left-of-field interpretations on display once again! The Princess Quest kicked everything off with a very successful Cocktail Party on the 15th June and next month’s cent sale has already sold out.

Volunteerism is the backbone of the festival and we’re really proud of all those who have stepped up and those who will assist around festival day. Every pair of hands is valued! We are still looking for a like-minded person/s to assist with admin and compliance roles as we prepare for another fabulous Harvest Festival. If you can help, please reach out to info@babindaharvestfest.org and all volunteers are welcome throughout the year!

Although we are a little late on the starting gun this year, things are well underway and for our markets and food vendors we are very proud to have the esteemed Tracey Watkins of Gordonvale Cottage Markets fame on board this year, so vendors, thank you for your patience, we are ready for your applications! It’s sure to be another great afternoon and evening out, even the long-range weather forecast looks wonderful!
